Classes are underway....

This is our first month finally launching classes!!  This has been my dream from the start of A Sweet Morsel Co. and we are going in with a bang.  We have two private classes arranged and two public class locations booked!  Hurry... We still have seats, but once they fill up you will have to wait until April!  (Or you could book your own with all of your friends and family at your home!)

You will want to sign up for this month.  The set we are creating is beyond adorable and you will impress yourself and your family when taking home your own decorated set!

Payment is required prior to the class.  Check, cash, and PayPal (preferred) accepted.  Once payment is processed your seat is reserved :)  So call a friend and sign up together.  It will be fun.

2015 Has Arrived!

2014 Update
2014 had its share of changes for our family for sure!  If you haven't already, feel free to check out part of A Sweet Morsel Co. testimony via this video clip.

Keep up with us!
While a goal is to share with you what is going on through this blog, we have been growing at a rapid rate and have found sharing quick updates with you through our Facebook Page or Etsy Shop is most realistic in this point of our journey.

We now are offering classes!

Meet the teacher...

Cassidy (Casey) graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 2007 with a B.S. in Kinesiology.  Then completed an expedited program for teaching called The Philadelphia Teaching Fellows.  While working she received her certification in teaching Science through Drexel University and taught in the inner city School District of Philadelphia for six years.  During this time she earned her masters in Science education through Walden University.

Now her and her husband have three children and started A Sweet Morsel Co.  It is a fast growing small company with a lot of desire to serve their customers well.  She is now using her gifts of teaching in this capacity.  Think outside the box!  Birthday parties, fun company meetings to build morale, ladies night, etc...

Currently, she will travel to you.  In the near future, she will hold classes in her baking studio.

We hope to bring the decorating experience to you :)  As of now we are teaching local to Pittsburgh, PA.  Contact us with questions.

Happy 2015!!

Custom:  It's what we do!

Since we started A Sweet Morsel Co., custom is how we have built this business!  How valued do you feel to receive a package in the mail tailored specifically to you?  We are all about creating something unique for your events or just for fun.

For Thanksgiving think about creating a little food fun for your kiddos, or maybe a cookie platter that is fun to look at and super yummy to eat!  My personal favorite are cookie place settings that will be personalized and created just for your guests.  Message us on Facebook, Etsy, or by giving us a call or email.  We look forward to creating something special for you!

Company Requests...

Those of you who know us personally know that we were "patiently" awaiting the birth of our 3rd son.  He has arrived!  On the way home from the hospital, my phone started to ping with Etsy requests.  My husband jokingly laughed and said, "Alright it's time to get back to work!  You're home!"  Well that was pretty much the case.  Fortunately, this birth was the easiest of the three and I was able to be literally up and running almost as soon as I got home.

Welcome Silas James...

Since A Sweet Morsel Co. was created a little under two years ago, we received the largest request for an order to date!  Exciting and nerve wracking!  You say why? We received this request only two days after the little man and I arrived home from the hospital.  And yes we know that sounds crazy, but we were up for the challenge.

We were contacted by West Elm to custom create an order with some of their signature products on cookies for their grand opening in Pittsburgh.  500 + cookies later and here are some of the final products....

And since we are the topic of logo and company requested cookies, here is a glimpse of some of our past company requested projects...

If you or anyone you know are hosting an event where you are in need of favors, trust me these will not go to waste.  Your customers will thank you!  Check out our menu at the top of the page.

The Baby Waiting Game...

Since we found out we were unexpectedly pregnant with #3 we have been in a "season of transition". Our first baby boy was born at 41+ weeks.  Anyone who has been pregnant before can sympathize!  Our second baby boy was surprisingly early at 36 weeks.  And this one.... well I have been ready since 35 to be done being a "hippo"!  In our house of boys who love animals, momma feels like a hippo!  It is the best way to describe to my boys how I think I look, feel and walk!  Anyways, playing this waiting game has forced us to turn down a lot of orders to ensure our customers get what they want and paid for.  But since I go a little nuts just teaching potty training, changing diapers, figuring out different games to play, and running around outside literally all day long; I got a creative itch and decided people needed to be blessed with sugar this week.

Happy Birth Day Knox!
Jeremiah and Brianna, friends of ours from college, recently had a baby boy.   Since they live near Richmond, VA, we weren't able to go visit him and shower him with gifts, so mommy, daddy, and Surrey got some treats to devour in all the craziness of bringing home a newborn.

My sister and father in law have birthdays just two days apart and love chocolate covered oreos, reese cups, and of course sugar cookies.  So to celebrate their birthdays I did a little of both.  By the way, if you have never tried a chocolate covered oreo and reese cup together, you should!  Don't order too many though! :)

Happy 30th Birthday David!  These were for new found friends of ours since moving back to the Pittsburgh area.  Emily, David's wife through him a surprise party and requested no gifts, but we thought cookies may be allowed!  He is the worship director at our church and so we thought these would be appropriate.  We are so thankful for being able to meet them so quickly!
Congratulations Beaner!
If you do not know my sister, she is a go getter.  Recently she got promoted to a manager position within Macy's and wanted to thank her supervisor with this little treat.  Hopefully we will be making more of these within a few months from another promotion!  Congrats.
Happy Birthday Phoebe!
One of my dearest friends from Philadelphia, Phoebe Wurst celebrated her birthday earlier this month.  Since I was a wreck a few weeks ago with pregnancy symptoms etc... This just happened to get to her a little late.  Anyways, this woman would do anyone for anybody and is one of the best people my family has ever met!  We can't wait for her to visit next month once our new little one arrives!

Etsy Orders...

One of the first ways that A Sweet Morsel Co. started to receive regular orders is through Etsy.  Have you ever heard of it?  If not, it is a place where small business owners can set up a shop with things they have featured for sale; and consumers can request custom orders to be developed just for them.  It is an awesome way to gain new customers from across the world, or in our case, across the United States.  You should check it out some time... www.etsy.com  or A Sweet Morsel Co. Shop if you want to go directly to our shop.

For us, this has been a way for us to receive orders (and a lot of repeat orders) from customers we have never met.  Customers can check out "Shop Stats" to see how reliable they are and check things out such as timeliness and other customer reviews.   Also, it is a way to be able to use a credit card for payment which has become a much more preferred method of payment for many!
